Time for a Hair Cut... Dad asked me when I was going to cut my hair. I don't think he likes long hair. Or, if it's long, he likes it pulled back somehow. When I was growing up, he would say, "Get your hair out of your face" All. The. Time.

On the other hand, my husband prefers long hair. Currently, my hair is the longest it's been since I was a kid. It is more or less a single length. No layers.

My Mamacita told me that her favorite past hairstyle for me involved layers. There was a time when I had a fluffy, layered look. Back in the day when I took the time to use either hot rollers or a round brush with a blow dryer.

It is time for a trim. The question is, how much of a trim? And, do I make a style change?

I decided to walk down my hair's memory lane...and created the collage above. With only three exceptions, the photos are of "fairly recent" styles. By "fairly" I mean all the pics were taken some time in the last 5 or 6 years.

What do ya think? Should I re-try one of these looks?

  1. I think it's a dad thing. My father prefers my hair shorter too. In fact, I think his favourite hair cut of mine was when I was three and I had a Little Orphan Annie cut.

  2. Yes, I think you should cut it to your coller bone or a tad below it and put some layers in it... even if you dont have time to style it since you have naturally curly hair the layers will bring that curl out either way which adds more volume!

    1. I'm scared of the layers. My hair isn't really thick...and layers has made it look even thinner before.
But, I will get an update....soon.

I love comments. They make me very happy. Thanks for making me happy today!
