See What Arrived in the Post.

You remember I recently got a care package in the mail. How fun is that? I think I'm addicted to getting packages.

I've discovered that I can keep packages coming...I just have to log onto Etsy and click on things I like! And soon, magically, these things arrive in the mail.

I think I can get away with this maybe two or three more times.

Earlier this summer I saw Bethany's {of Rinse.Repeat} post about Nooks and Crannies. Have you read Bethany's blog? If not you need to. She has the coolest eye for photography and design. I discovered her blog and was so in love that I read backward to get her entire blogging story. {I digress.} Anyway, the post about Nooks and Crannies really moved me. So much so that I sent Bethany an email. I had to tell her that just looking at the photo of her nightstand made me happy. There's a particular object on her stand that really inspired me. I loved how Bethany created a little corner that feels like home. {When you jump over to her blog you'll see that she is a long way from home.}

It's funny how images can stay with you like that.

It stayed with me so long that I decided I can design a little corner that will make me feel happy and nostalgic. I wanted a memento of sorts that would take me "way back". I found my happy object on Michelle's Etsy shop: TwoButtons4Ever. Are you ready to see my new find? Here it is.

A real live Swinger Polaroid camera. This is a pic of my new find once I unwrapped it. It looks so shiny and new!

Yes, I had one just like this. It was my very first camera and one of my most memorable Christmas presents. I still have a few of the pictures I took with my Swinger camera. (When I find that folder of non-virtual photos, I'll scan and share.)
The camera is STILL good looking. It is now on my husband's desk, but will soon be on mine. (Right after I actually get a desk.)  So thank you, Bethany, for the lovely idea and thank you, Michelle, for making it possible for me to obtain.
