  3. That is so fun! Growing up my grandparents had 2 ponies - Billy and Duke, although they were older so they weren't so much fun, but they were friendly! And white! Thanks for the memories, I have not thought of that in a LONG time!

    1. I love the names of your Grandparents ponies. :) I'm so glad it brought sweet memories for you. I was so lucky to live so close to my grandparents (walking distance) and that my Dad had such a soft spot for animals! :)

  5. I always always wanted more pets as a kid, there was a strict no dog policy and I was an only child. I did have a sweet cat Munchkin he lived to be about 18 and once I grew up and left home I made up for my petless years with five dogs and 3 cats

    1. Pets are the absolute best. We weren't allowed to have indoor pets. I more than made up for that in my adulthood too. Just stopped by your blog. It is adorable.!

  6. We had a pony and goats too. We named our goats Floppy and Nanny so don't feel too bad about not being creative!

    1. You and I have so much in common! You are first person I know that had goats as a kid. I have a girlfriend that has pygmy goats as an adult. :)

  7. I love this post. It brings back many great memories! "Buttons" was the pup our folks got for us when I was three. He let me dress him up like a baby doll when I was little. While I was away at college, he ran away, as it was "his time". I came home from school to look for him, wanting to at least give him a proper burial, but never found him. I cried many tears for Buttons and swore to never have another pet. It just hurt too much to lose one....and alas...we have two rescue dogs, Sugar & Baby. Not sure who needed whom? But they rule our house! Appreciate you and your blog! ♥ paula
